The Centre for Green Maritime Innovation will be a national facility driving technology to cut maritime emissions.

We’re establishing the Centre for Green Maritime Innovation to place the UK as a global leader in zero-carbon maritime transport. Our mission is to develop and prove technologies that will cut emissions, combat climate change, and ensure the UK’s maritime sector thrives economically while leading the charge toward a sustainable, net-zero future.
