Centre for Global Health and Policy (GHaP)

A black lampost with the light turned off in front of intensive tiered housing

GHaP aims to be a central focus of social science related global health research within the School of Social, Economic and Political Sciences and the whole of the University of Southampton.

We work in partnership with colleagues from across the University and around the world, developing a transformative global health and policy agenda through an interdisciplinary approach. Our research works towards the overall goal of ensuring access to sustainable health and wellbeing within a fair, equitable and inclusive governance. The Centre has expertise in understanding and addressing the local and global challenges of delivering the right to health and citizenship in vulnerable socio-economic contexts.

Reducing health inequities in sexual and reproductive health and rights, maternal and child health and in disability are central to my research.
My research and ways of enquiry are driven by a fundamental commitment to identifying and redressing inequalities that prevent inclusive development and governance.
