Chianu is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour within Southampton Business School at the University of Southampton.
Chianu’s research interest is in Human Resource Management, Employee Wellbeing and Constructive Failure. He has published his works in several national and international outlets.

Chianu is currently working on projects focused on the role of human resource management in the circular economy and constructive failure in management education.

Teaching
Chianu teaches management, human resource management, and organisational behaviour modules to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He also supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Biography
Chianu completed his PhD at the University of Portsmouth. Before joining the University of Southampton, Chianu was a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at De Montfort University. Prior to that, a Senior Teaching Fellow in the same subject at the University of Portsmouth.
Chianu holds an MSc in International Human Resource Management from the University of Portsmouth. He finished his MSc with Distinction and was awarded the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Prize for the Best Student. Chianu is a Chartered Member of the CIPD and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
