Research project

HEIF 2021/22 SUPPLY SoUthamPton Port-city circuLar economY hub for southern england

Project overview

This study aimed to use the port-city circular economy framework developed at the University of Southampton in cooperation with Ramboll, as a case study for Southampton. The framework was produced by a PhD research project and the funding from the SMMI has allowed for it translated from theory into practice. This process involved consultation with, and a survey of, key stakeholders in Southampton and its hinterland in order to establishing a benchmark for potentially increased circular economy adoption.
