About
I am a Senior Research Fellow based at the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC) and joined the team in 2018. We design and deliver high quality research that meets the priorities of the NIHR to inform decision-making, policy and practice. We are situated within the NETSCC Insight team which is made up of researchers, evaluators, analysts, methodologists, project and programme managers. As part of the Insight team, we also conduct research and provide support and expertise across the School of Healthcare Enterprise and Innovation.
Our research is predominantly focused on the discipline of Research on Research, which has grown substantially over the last ten years and is gaining momentum due to increased interest in areas such as research culture, research integrity and open research. Our research focuses on addressing gaps in evidence, adding value by informing research assessment and management policy and practice, thus maximising the value of research to the NIHR and the wider community. By contributing to the wider evidence base on research practices, from inception and initiation of research through to dissemination, engagement and mobilisation, we ensure that increased sharing and comparability of ways to conduct research promote transparency, reproducibility, and better use and re-use of research outputs and outcomes.
