Congratulations on your offer to study at the University of Southampton. You probably have lots of questions, so here’s some information to help you with your next steps, and to show you more about what it’s like to live and study at Southampton.
As the University of Southampton is such a huge university, there are tons of clubs and societies to get involved in, whether its for a sport, hobby, cultural group or faith! Getting immersed in these from the start is a sure fire way to meet different types of people and make new friends.
We’d love to meet you and show you around. Join us on campus at a Visit Day or at a virtual visit event – or both!

Join us at an on-campus Visit Day to deep dive into your course, the modules, meet your lecturers and see where you’ll study.
You’ll have the chance to chat to students to find out about student life, and find out what it’s like to live and study here. You’ll also have the opportunity to tour our campuses, brand new sports facilities, the library, a range of accommodation options, and learn about student support.
We understand that travel costs can be a barrier to attending Visit Days, so we’re offering travel bursaries of up to £100 to help cover the cost for UK students.
Our virtual visit events run until April. We tailor these events to each subject, but you can expect to:

If you can't make it to the event for your chosen subject, you can access virtual events on demand. This means that you can enjoy virtual visits at your own pace, in the comfort of your home.
