Nat holds joint positions as an NIHR BRC Bridging Fellow relating the composition of indoor air to respiratory health, and as Knowledge Exchange Impact Fellow in the UKRI SPF Clean Air Programme.
Nat's background is in chemistry, where she developed an interest in characterisation and air quality. She has continued to study air quality and has moved into the multidisiplinary space surrounding characterisation, sources and health impacts and is keen to continue working across disciplines.
She undertook her PhD at the National Oceanography Centre on a Leverhulme Trust Doctoral Scholarship through the Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute. In this she investigated Particulate Matter (PM) from port sources, including performing a source apportionment of PM in Southampton.
