Manager of the Environmental Sequencing Facility at the University of Southampton. Our facility offers comprehensive support for next-generation sequencing workflows, including guidance on experimental design, DNA/RNA library preparation, sequencing, bioinformatics, data analysis and data interpretation.
In my role, I specialise in the following areas:

Performing wet lab workflows for DNA/RNA library preparation and sequencing using Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms.

Implementing and assisting with computational pipelines for amplicon sequencing, metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, and whole genome sequencing projects.

Providing assistance in data interpretation, figure production, and writing peer-reviewed publications focused on sequencing methods.

Supporting the teaching of molecular biology in undergraduate courses.

Supervising and training project students (BSc, MSc, PhD).
