Biography
I am a Teaching Fellow of the Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences within Medicine at the University of Southampton.
After completing my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield, I specialised in Anatomy with Education for my masters. My studies have focused on how the body functions in its entirety, across the different body systems, from a topographical to microscopic scale. During my masters I also acted as a Demonstrator for undergraduate Biomedical Science students for their anatomy modules. During this period of teaching I gained recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Before joining the Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences, I worked as an Anatomy Demonstrator. I taught on the anatomical components of a variety of degree programmes including Medicine, Dentistry, Biomedical Science and Pharmacy. During this time, I was also involved in the conversion of the anatomical assessments into a new format, with the aim to better test students anatomical knowledge as they will see it in the clinic.
