Lorenzo is an Economic Social Research Council’s Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Research in Inclusion, Southampton Education School, University of Southampton. His research focuses on the classwork of teaching assistants (TA) and their role in the mainstream education of children with special needs and/or disabilities. Lorenzo’s current responsibilities include conducting research exploring TA pedagogical practices across primary schools in England, disseminating his PhD work involving TA across Italian primary schools through academic publications and conference presentations, and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules on inclusive education and the role and practice of TAs.
