Sophie Hart is currently a PhD Student in Human Factors Engineering within the Transportation Research Group of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton. Sophie graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Southampton University in 2020. After graduating from Southampton, Sophie work as a full-time research technician within the Transportation Research Group before moving on to obtain her Masters by Research in Human Factors Engineering from the University of Bristol in 2023.
Sophie's PhD project is investigating factors that facilitate and disrupt teamwork within complex human-machine team comprising human and automated agents. This work is funded by Thales UK and EPSRC. The work aims to establish design reccommendations and system requirements to support a human Pilot during crewed-uncrewed vehicle operations in a way that optimises teamwork within the human-machine team.
