Current research
Dr. Foster’s current work is on the RESTORE project, which aims to deepen our understanding of how lake ecosystems recover from collapse, typically brought about by eutrophication. His focus is on using system dynamics modelling to explore how hysteresis and feedback loops impact the recovery process, and how we might predict the quickest or most likely recovery pathways for individual lakes.
