The Academic Regulations apply to and regulate the programme(s) listed above.
On occasion, programmes can be exempted from one or more of the clauses in the Regulations; one or more of the clauses can be varied; and programmes can impose additional requirements.

- Variations are characterised by the replacement of the clause with alternative wording.

The programmes listed have approval from the Academic Quality and Standards Subcommittee for the exemptions and/or variations and/or additions to the regulations noted below.

5. Repeat | ||
5.4 | External Repeat: A student choosing an External Repeat will be required to Repeat those Modules in which the Module Pass Mark was not obtained at the first attempt or at Referral. The most recent marks for Modules not Repeated will be retained for determining Progression. The marks achieved at External Repeat will be inserted into the most recent marks profile and paragraphs 3.1 to 3.4 applied again to determine Progression. The marks obtained during External Repeat and those arising from Referral will be Capped at the Capped Mark for all calculations related to determination of a final degree classification (see section 9 below). | Students do not have the right to Repeat externally and must Repeat internally. |

These variations will remain in place as required for the duration of the teach-out. Expected end date of the collaboration is December 2028.

2.1 | The University standard Module Pass Mark for undergraduate students taking Modules at all levels is 40. Where professional standards, including but not limited to PSRB requirements, require a Module Pass Mark that differs from the University standard this will be stated in the relevant programme regulations. | For students transferring to Part 2 of UK programmes at WSA the Module Pass Mark for ARTD1135 Academic English for Art & Design is 50. Additionally, a mark of 50 or above is required in each sub-component.

4.2 | A student who fails to progress under paragraphs 3.1 to 3.4, and to whom 4.1 does not apply, may Refer in Failed Modules totalling at most 15 ECTS (30 CATS). | A student who fails to progress under paragraphs 3.1 to 3.4, and to whom 4.1 does not apply, may Refer in all Failed Modules totalling at most 60 ECTS (120 CATS). |
3.5 | A student who does not Pass has a right to Refer if eligible according to the Referral criteria laid out in paragraphs 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 and section 6 below. A student not eligible to Refer has a right to Repeat as laid out in sections 5 and 6 below. | A student who would normally be required to Repeat because of failure in a module or element of assessment that is Core to the programme learning outcomes will be permitted to progress to the next Part of the programme but will be required to undertake further assessment (up to 60 ECTS (120 CATS) credits during that next Part of the programme. Specific guidance and support will be provided to such students in consideration of the additional workload. |
Existing University Regulation Transfer, Pause-in-Study, Withdrawal and Termination regulations | ||
3.0 | In determining the duration of any pause in study and the most appropriate time for the student to return to study, due account will be taken of the structure of the programme as well as the student's needs. Where a pause in study is agreed for medical reasons, Faculties may require a student to provide medical certification of fitness to return to study or to attend a Fitness to Practise Panel before allowing re-enrolment to occur. Students may apply to extend a period of pause of study for further periods of up to twelve months at a time; however, pauses in study covering periods greater than twenty four (24) months continuously will normally be granted only under the most exceptional circumstances. Students unable or unwilling to return to study after a pause in study of twenty four (24) months may be recommended for termination of study. | The period of pause in study allowable within a student’s registration period will be limited to a maximum of 24 months, in total, across all Parts of the programme. |
