Learning Outcomes
Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- be able to interpret and analyse the experimental results in terms of battery chemistries
- be able to design experiments that use the basic techniques
- have acquired a basic understanding of experimental electrochemical techniques in battery research
Syllabus
Students will complete a series of experiments to investigate battery processes and learn how to operate and exploit electroanalytical techniques in the context of electrochemical energy storage. The following points will be covered
- the fundamental aspects of battery processes,
- the electrochemical instrumentation used in battery research,
- the appropriate selection of experimental parameters,
- the analysis of experimental results.
