Module overview
Students elect to follow a particular issue from a suite of options presented on an annual basis by staff in Education. The outcomes of the module are for the student to make an oral presentation on their investigations using technology where appropriate.

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Identify an area for investigation and use relevant literature to inform the implementation and evaluation of this investigation.
- Identify and understand appropriate research methodologies and methods to design and conduct a classroom investigation
- Prepare and present a coherent commentary which critically analyses the investigation and its outcomes
Syllabus
The syllabus content will be determined by the Assignment 3 topic which the student is following and the particular aspect that the student identifies for their assessment. Generic content will be aimed at increasing students' knowledge and understanding of their topic, attention to research methods, how to present and write at Master's level.
Learning and Teaching
Teaching and learning methods
Teaching is usually by a range of lectures, small group seminars and individual tutorials. Trainees are expected to spend time (approximately 130 hours) researching this assignment as individuals.
