Syllabus
Module Coverage
This module compares and contrasts a range of sustainable business approaches and marketing activities from prominent organisations, in order for you to be able to make informed recommendations, as a future marketing professional.
Indicative syllabus
Topics covered in this module will include:
- Definitions of sustainability, circularity and social responsibility in marketing.
- Explanation of the importance of sustainable, mutually beneficial and circular practices, for organisations, consumers and society.
- Examples of successful sustainable marketing initiatives (ie adapting marketing practice to be more sustainable, as well as use of marketing to raise awareness of sustainable practice).
- Discussion of the role of marketing in promoting green products and responsible consumption.
- Consideration of the impact of sustainability and social responsibility on brand reputation and consumer trust.
