About
Fraser McLeod has over 35 years research experience in freight and logistics, traffic management and control, intelligent transport systems and drone logistics. He has worked on more than 30 projects for clients including the Department for Transport, TRL Ltd, the European Commission, Hampshire County Council, Transport for London and Solent Transport. His research expertise is in mathematical and statistical analysis of large datasets, development of simulation models, and use of existing transportation or vehicle routing models such as AIMSUN and PTV Route Optimiser to evaluate transport schemes.

Current research
Solent Future Transport Zone
The Solent FTZ is a multidisciplinary research and development project undertaken in collaboration with the University of Portsmouth and Solent Transport, comprising Southampton City Council, Portsmouth City Council, Isle of Wight Council, and Hampshire County Council. Theme 1 on passenger mobility is led by Professor John Preston and Theme 2 on Sustainable Urban Freight is led by Professor Tom Cherrett.
