About
Charlie is a coastal scientist specialising in sediment dynamics.
She is interested in transdisciplinary research which involves the coasts, sediments or both, with a particular focus on applied and policy driven research.
As well as being a Lecturer in Coastal Processes, Charlie also directs the Channel Coastal Observatory, which leads the National Network of Regional Coastal Monitoring Programmes of England on behalf of the Coastal Groups of England, and the Environment Agency.

Current research
Charlie is interested in the transdisciplinary aspects of sediment dynamics and coastal processes. Current research projects include:
CHASM - Crustaceans, Habitat and Sediment Movement. Investigating coastal change around the Selsey Bill fishing grounds, and potential impacts on crustacean stocks: https://peninsulapartnership.org.uk/projects/chasm/
