Sean Ewings is a statistician in the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit. He co-leads the statistics team and is scientific lead for the gastrointestinal cancer portfolio. He works primarily in cancer trials, on all phases of drug development, from Bayesian adaptive phase I designs through to large phase III trials. He also works on trials of other interventions for cancer, such as radiotherapy, and in non-cancer studies that include complex interventions. He sits on the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit funding panel and is statistical editor for the BMJ Open Gastroenterology journal.
