Behzad Hezarkhani is a Professor of Operations Management at Southampton Business School. He is the head of Operations and Project Management group.
Behzad studies operations research, mathematical modelling, and game theory. He studies problems related to cooperation and competition in supply chains within the contexts of food and agri-business, transportation and logistics, inventory and production management.

Biography
Behzad was born in Tehran and obtained his BSc and MSc in Industrial Engineering there. He received his PhD in operations management and information systems at Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada.
He was a post-doctoral fellow at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. Prior to joining University of Southampton, he was an Assistant Professor at Nottingham University Business School, and a senior lecturer, and later a reader, in operations management at Brunel University London.
