Project overview
Screening is the process of identifying the important factors in a process via experimentation and statistical model fitting. The combination of small designed experiments and sophisticated methods for variable selection is an increasingly used and powerful tool in all areas of science and industry where many factors require investigation and experimentation is costly.
In this project, we will combine state-of-the-art methodology in design of experiments, modelling, optimization and parallel computing to allow computationally efficient screening that is effective at identifying important factors. Such developments are key to (a) providing new methods for “mega-factorial” experiments with hundreds or thousands of factors and (b) application of modern screening methods by practitioners.
