About
Adam is interested in the development of Aritificial Intelligence and Machine Learning approaches with applications in Engineering, in particular focused on reducing emissions and improving safety. In particular he is interested in Reinforcement Learning in Continuous Environments, Evolutionary Computation and Machine Learning in scenarios where we don't fully understand the underlying physics.
Currently he is on secondment at The Alan Turing Institute (80%) as Director for the Data-Centric Engineering Programme. This programme is core funded by Lloyd's Register Foundation with a focus on developing and using AI to benefit safety and decarbonise engineering, to help train the work force of tomorrow and to help change policy.
He also acts as Non-Executive Director of Theyr Ltd, a Metocean Data and Voyage Optimisation Software supplier.
