Biography
I am a molecular biologist with a strong background in microbiology. My current research interests lie within genetic engineering of the intracellular bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. My overarching aim is to identify the essential gene set using saturation transposon mutagenesis coupled with next generation sequencing technologies, with the ultimate goal of identifying new vaccine candidates for this important human pathogen.
