Amanda is a Principal Teaching Fellow and Programme leader for Fashion Marketing & Management at WSA.
She has global Industry experience in Marketing, specifically services Marketing in the luxury market and more recently Digital Marketing, with Postgraduate & Professional Diplomas for both qualifications.
Her current research projects centre on the omnichannel retail experience for brands in the luxury market and sensorial marketing. She is interested in developing cross-border research projects to develop an understanding of cultural differences in the retail environment and has recently completed a chapter for Bloomsbury Publishing titled, 'Luxury and the Senses' which focused on how scent elicits an emotional response that can build and develop long-lasting brand loyalty.
Amanda has academic experience in the development of new undergraduate programmes in the subject area of fashion management and marketing. In her current role, she is responsible for managing a team to support the delivery of an exceptional student experience, developing long-lasting links with the fashion and creative industry to develop commercial contexts that enhance the student experience and employability outcomes through teaching, projects, and work experiences and guest visits.
She is a member of the 'Modernising The Student Experience' Project Board for the University, supporting the development of new strategies to improve the student experience across the various aspects of student life, including systems, wellbeing, recruitment, the physical environment and social experience.
She has significant pedagogic experience as a Programme Lead and Chair of the Teaching, Assessment and Feedback subcommittee for over 8 years, which monitored teaching excellence, and student experience and supported the implementation of new educational strategies and policy. She also holds the role of Chair of the Board Of Examiners, overseeing the progression of the Art school.
Her external examiner positions and experience evidence an ability to monitor and evaluate the quality of course design and teaching experience both across the UK and internationally. She is currently an external advisor to the London College of Fashion, Farnham and Epsom across UG & PG courses.
