About
Rebecca is a senior teaching fellow in the Faculty of Medicine. Prior to this role she completed her Bachelor of Medicine degree at the University of Southampton before training as a teacher and working in the secondary and sixth form college sectors where she taught science and prepared students to apply for medicine and related health science programmes. She rejoined the university in 2016 to undertake a medical education PhD looking at the progression experiences of medical students from widening access backgrounds.
She is the subject lead for Personal and Professional Development in the undergraduate medicine programmes, as well as module lead for Foundations of Medicine, an SSU3 option, and deputy module lead for the final year PPD module.
Her key interests are in improving methods of teaching and learning for students in Medicine, professional identity formation in medical students, and in widening participation in medicine.
