Oki MacPherson is a postgraduate research student at the University of Southampton within the department of Social Statistics and Demography, Faculty of Social Sciences.
In 2022, she was awarded a UKRI ESRC Studentship in the Population Change, Health and Wellbeing (PCHW) Pathway for the PhD project “Estimating and correcting ‘missing’ people with disabilities in Indonesian statistics: Improving understanding of health care use at a regional level”
Oki's research interests are mainly focussed on different measurement and interpretation of disability, who are categorized as people with disabilities, and their interaction with the health system in Indonesia.
