Savvas Pitsinigkos is a Postgraduate Researcher based in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton.
Savvas Pitsinigkos' research focuses on the phase structure of Quantum Chromodynamics.
During his studies, Savvas Pitsinigkos has focused on questions regarding the phase structure of the low-temperature and high-density regime of Quantum Chromodynamics. Since this is the relevant region for the microphysics of compact stars, he is also working on connecting the said phases to compact star observables.
Supervisors: Dr. Andreas Schmitt, Prof. Nils Andersson
Before joining the University of Southampton as a postgraduate researcher, Savvas Pitsinigkos studied Physics (BSc) in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (MASt) in the University of Cambridge.
