Biography
Chloe is a Lecturer in Medical Education at the University of Southampton, where she coordinates communication skills teaching for the undergraduate medical programmes and co-leads the first year Foundations of Medicine module. Prior to this, she received a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Linguistics and a Master's Degree in Cross-Cultural Communication. She then undertook her PGCE and taught Secondary-level English before completing a PhD in Medical Education at the University of Southampton. She is a member of the UK Council for Clinical Communication and of the Faculty Athena Swan committee.
Her research focuses on the medical student experience, particularly Impostor Syndrome and sense of belonging in students from underrepresented backgrounds. She is a member of the Medical Education Research Group (MERG) and the Medical Education Widening Participation Research Group.
