About
Anastasia is a current PhD student in the South Coast Biosciences DTP. Her research focuses on using genetic and phenotypic data in understanding plant domestication. She is a member of the Agri-Food Early Careers SCI Committee.
Anastasia graduated from Imperial College London with a degree in Biochemistry. During her final year, she specialised in structural biology, bioinformatics, plant immunity and science communication.
She then completed an MRes in Big Data Biology at the University of Southampton. Her MRes thesis was focused on understanding drought response and changes in nutrients in an underutilized legume crop, lablab.
Overall, her research interests lie in food security, plant biology and computational methods. In her spare time, Anastasia partakes in public engagement and science communication.
