Kathryn Broom is a Senior Teaching Fellow based in the Education School at the University of Southampton. Her principal role is leading the Secondary Modern Foreign Languages PGCE course.
In addition to delivering the Secondary MFL PGCE course, Kathryn teaches on several undergraduate and postgraduate modules, including ‘An introduction to teaching and teachers’ and ‘Independent Study and Synoptic Reflection’. She also supervises on the dissertation for the MSc Education online programme.
Kathryn joined the university in 2022. Before joining the university she worked as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher and within the leadership team of a local secondary school.
