Current research
Dr. Mazed's research focuses on sustainable fashion, circular economy, fashion industrial sustainability, life cycle assessment, fashion digital transformation, sustainable production and consumption, and supply chain management.
Mazed's multidisciplinary research approach offers opportunities to work in an exciting, impactful, and contemporary areas in fashion and textiles. You are welcome to self-propose and discuss an exciting project within the area of research interests. Below are examples of potential research areas.
-Implementing sustainable practices in the fashion supply chain/manufacturing/life cycle stages
-Circular fashion: Recycling post-consumer fashion and textiles waste
-Understanding terminologies with sustainability and circular economy in fashion and textiles
-How technology can revitalise craft skills in the luxury fashion industry sustainability
-Scaling up sustainable practices in the value chain of sports clothing (design, manufacturing, supply chain)
-Digitally enabled sustainable practices to scale up circularity in the activewear fashion ecosystem
-Digital technologies enabled sustainable practices in fashion and textiles industry
-Sustainable fashion production and consumption
Dr Mazed's research group is interested to highly motivated, proactive, curious, and skilled individuals who are interested in pursuing PhDs in the areas mentioned. He is open to dicuss potential hosting and supporting applications for funded PhD studentships, such as, China Scholarship Council, Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), UKRI, and other Government funded schemes.
