Shintaro’s research sets the Baum-Connes conjecture in noncommutative geometry (NCG) as a starting point and aims to study C*-algebras, K-theory and representation theory from various angles. His current research topics include representation theory on symmetric spaces from the viewpoint of NCG and applications of ideas in NCG into the study of algebraic K-theory.
Shintaro currently teaches Math3076 Hilbert Spaces.
Shintaro joined the University of Southampton as a lecturer in 2023.
He gained his PhD in Mathematics in 2020 from Penn State University. He then had a postdoctoral position at the University of Münster during 2020-2023.
