Jayati Deshmukh is a postdoctoral researcher in the Agents, Interaction and Complexity (AIC) research group in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. She is working with Prof. Sarvapali (Gopal) Ramchurn on Responsible AI UK project and with Prof. Sebastian Stein on Citizen-Centric Artificial Intelligence Systems project.
She did PhD advised by Prof. Srinath Srinivasa at IIIT-Bangalore. Her PhD thesis was titled “Computational Transcendence: A Model for Emergent Responsible Agency in Multi-Agent Systems”.
Her broad research interests are in the areas of Autonomous Systems, Multi-Agent Systems, Responsible AI, AI Ethics, Network Science and Game Theory.
Previously she has also worked on Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Knowledge Graphs and Deep Learning.
