Karim Mahran is a Lecturer in Accounting at Southampton Business School, where he joined in September 2024. He has been in academia since 2009. Karim’s research interests include leadership, narrative disclosure, sustainability, corporate governance, and content analysis. His work has been published in reputable journals, including Business Strategy and the Environment (ABS 3*). He also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals, such as the British Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Literature, and Business and Society, among others. In 2023, Karim was honored with the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) doctoral masterclass award for the best paper.
