Research project

Access to Higher Education in England: investigating the social, educational and institutional dimensions of demand for and supply of higher education in England

Project overview

This research was funded by the Greek Education Ministry as part of a cross-national analysis on access to Higher Education (HE). It investigated the changing nature of access to HE in England and the ways in which this has been shaped by the changing social, socio-economic and institutional context, and its further impacts on the supply and demand of higher education in this context.
The project examined the changing societal and policy context, as well as patterns of inequality in students’ educational achievements and aspirations, their progression through the educational system and beyond into the labour market.
