Project overview
This project advanced our understanding of the interplay between the development of porosity, permeability and connectivity and the loss and gain of specific elements during the hydrothermal alteration of an arc volcano. In particular to quantify the mechanisms and extent of fluid-rock interaction, and the implications for the mass flux of metals and metalloids either into sulphide deposits or the ocean.
