Research project

R Lewis - Nanoscale three-dimensional imaging of the placenta

Project overview

This project is using novel 3D imaging approaches to explore the diversity of placental structures across species. The placenta is essential for successful reproduction and the differences in placental structure reflect different environments. With changing global environment it is more important than ever to understand how environment affects reproductive success and how different species have adapted to ensure their survival.
