Module overview
The objective of this module is to develop your research and design skills through in-depth exploration of a research problem. The project involves approximately 600 hours of commitment, including 10 weeks of full-time practically or computationally based research work.

- Present conclusions and suggestion for further work that are evidence based and consistent with the results of project work;
- Apply core chemical engineering knowledge in advanced problem solving;

- Maintain a laboratory/ work record to a professional standard; by collating and analysing data from a variety of sources; through the application of core knowledge in advanced problem solving;

Syllabus
Full-time work for 10 weeks of the first term (requirement of 35 hours per week). The majority of time will be spent in practical research, using laboratory and/or computational facilities, on your project although there will be an expectation that you complete the necessary literature work to allow you to accomplish your laboratory work effectively. The practical work associated with the project will be completed during this period.
A project plan is required for submission by 1400 on Tuesday of week 3.
At the end of semester 1 hand-in of dissertation for supervisor feedback in 2 weeks. Dissertation submission 2 weeks later
Please note the deadline for submission of the dissertation and penalties for late submission will be applied according to the university regulations.
Poster presentation of the project work will be in the early part of the summer term.
