Knowledge and Understanding

Having successfully completed this module, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:

• relational aspects of international entrepreneurship that comprise managing relationships with key stakeholders impacting upon any venture;
• environmental factors (global and national) influencing international entrepreneurship;
• the paradigm of 'corporate social responsibility', its implications on strategy, policy and practices of global organisations in terms of new business venturing, usually in the form of social enterprises created through corporate community involvement.
• entrepreneurial process in other countries/cultural settings, and managing a growth orientated global entrepreneurial venture, including a sound understanding of international expansion of a venture and pertinent sources of financing in international entrepreneurship;

Subject Specific Intellectual and Research Skills

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

• eamine the entrepreneurship process and enterprises in different forms such as high technology ventures, social enterprises and family businesses from a cross-cultural perspective;
• identify all key stakeholders impacting upon any venture in international settings;
• diagnose global and national environments by evaluating characteristics of economy, society and policy making for entrepreneurship of all types, such as science and social entrepreneurship;
• critically evaluate the 'corporate social responsibility' paradigm and its implications on the new venture development in global organisations.

• communicate effectively, in both oral and written form, using and justifying argument within reports, presentations and debates;
