This module will be taught in Semester 2 via a series of lectures taught by experts in the specific topic areas to provide you with essential background knowledge about global challenges and business solutions. The lectures will make use of illustrations, research findings, international reports and business examples to communicate the key issues associated with each topic. You will be expected to carry out directed reading and independent research before attending the lectures. In-class interactive activities, such as problem-solving activities, debate and discussions will provide opportunities for you to stimulate system thinking, global awareness and problem solving to get a better understanding of the global business environment and challenges entrepreneurs would face. You will also be required to work in groups on assessments designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of the subject area; this group work activity will support peer-to-peer learning.
