Michael is currently a teaching fellow in the Mathematical Sciences department at the University of Southampton. He graduated from Southampton University in 2017 with a Master of Physics degree, after which he moved to the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, which is affiliated with the University of Portsmouth, to complete a PhD in Theoretical Cosmology. His PhD work focused around modified theories of gravity which could explain the late-time acceleration of the universe.
Currently, he is teaching Mathematical Methods for Scientists, Numerical Methods, Introduction to Python & supervising 3rd year project students.
Michael's research currently focuses around cosmology and he is specifically interested in alternative theories of gravity which can both be tested observationally and theoretically.
