About
As part of the Education Development Office team in Southampton Business School, Steve’s work combines aspects of educational development for staff and learning development for students. His work with staff supports teaching development activities across the Business School and university-wide for the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP). This includes the embedding of academic skills teaching into the business curriculum, techniques for teaching critical thinking, enhancing assessment and feedback across the school, and supporting applications for Advance HE recognition.
Student partnerships are also key to our work, and we support an extensive peer assisted learning network, highlight the student voice in supporting the transitions process, and work to enhance students’ understanding of and involvement in assessment and feedback. Steve believes fostering independent learning skills, critical thinking and freedom of speech is a priority in a world characterised by rapid change and abundant information.

You’ll be able to add details about your research, publications, career and academic history to other sections of your staff profile.
