Dr Seilin Uhm is a dedicated researcher in social and health sciences, specialising in evidence synthesis, consensus development, and priority setting. With a background in psychology, she brings an interdisciplinary approach to understanding complex health challenges, particularly in patient-centred research and decision-making.
Currently a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, Seilin has contributed to multiple projects, including QUINTET, focusing on Sudden and Unexpected Death in Childre (SUDIC), and ProACTIVE, exploring alcohol addiction services in NHS England. Prior to this, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea, where she led research and teaching initiatives in communication, psychology and health sciences. Her work has been recognised in leading medical journals, including BMJ and Lancet.
Beyond academia, she is an active early career researcher. She is also exploring entrepreneurial ventures in health research and consulting.
