About

Rebecca Collins is a lecturer in Environmental Science and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate Geography and Environmental Science modules. Rebecca is interested in nature’s contribution to people and quantifying the potential benefits of nature to inform management and ensure sustainable development. Within this interface between people and the environment, Rebecca’s research focuses on answering policy-relevant questions, such as; the relative importance of public and private urban greenspaces for health and mental health, and the importance of greenspace quality and biodiversity for people living in urban environments. Rebecca has an interest in applying novel statistical methods to “untangle” these complex relationships between people and the environment.
