Vishnu is a Lecturer in Marketing at Southampton Business School.
His works have been published in highly regarded journals such as Personality and Individual Differences, Journal of Business Research, Appetite, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services among others
Vishnu is one of the founding members of the Centre for Research in Marketing and Consumer Psychology (CRMC) at Reykjavik University, Iceland. He serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Consumer Affairs and the Journal of Innovation and Knowledge.

Current research
Vishnu’s work closely aligns with Goals 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). His primary focus is on eco-labelling, online consumer behaviour, and sustainable consumption. His work aims to enhance the effectiveness of ecological food signalling by leveraging sustainability tags and health certifications, while examining the key factors that shape consumer preferences for healthier and more sustainable food choices.

Vishnu has taught several undergraduate and postgraduate marketing courses at universities in the UK, New Zealand and Iceland. His teaching interests include digital marketing, branding and consumer behaviour.
Biography
Vishnu has a diverse professional background, spanning academia, the public sector, and industry. Before joining Southampton Business School, he served as a Senior Evaluator at the Education Review Office in New Zealand and as a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Massey University, New Zealand. Prior to that, he held the position of Assistant Professor of Marketing at Reykjavik University, Iceland. In the corporate sector, Vishnu has experience as a Marketing Manager and Business Analyst.
