About us
The International Centre for Ecohydraulics Research (ICER) at the University of Southampton hosts an interdisciplinary team of scientists dedicated to solving problems caused when aquatic environments are exploited.
For over 15 years, our innovative research has involved representatives from:
- ecology
- engineering
- geomorphology
- social sciences
We examine fundamental questions in animal behaviour as well as applied issues, including topics such as:
- fish passage at river infrastructure
- ecological response to environmental change and river restoration
- management of marine fisheries
