Currently working on laser and detector integration for Silicon Photonics, both hybrid and monolithic, utilising previous materials and devices experience in compound semicondictors, specifically optical or sensing devices.
- Hybrid integration of compound semiconductor lasers by flip-chip bonding
- Detector integration for Silicon Photonics
- Thulium doped materials (tantalum pentoxide and aluminosililcate) for optical integration with Silicon Photonics (first thulium-doped tantalum pentoxide waveguide laser)
