About
Dr Jun-Yu Ou(歐俊裕), known as Bruce Ou, leads research on flat optics(metalens), AI-enabled nano-imaging/metrology and nanomechanics. His research has shown impacts on nanophotonics and nanomechanics as evidenced by more than 70 high-profile journal publications including first-author papers in Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, an h-index of 29 and 3700+ (Google Scholar) citations, 160+ conference contributions and 3 granted patents. His work has also been internationally recognised by invited presentations at major conferences such as SPIE and CLEO. Furthermore, his success in the area of nano-optomechanical metamaterials has attracted global attention in both academic (Nature, Nature Photonics) and commercial news outlets (BBC, Financial Times). Last but not least, he had 3 years of semiconductor industry experience in SEM/FIB and electrical phase-change memory.

You can update this in Pure (opens in a new tab). Select ‘Edit profile’. Under the heading and then ‘Curriculum and research description’, select ‘Add profile information’. In the dropdown menu, select - ‘About’.
Write about yourself in the third person. Aim for 100 to 150 words covering the main points about who you are and what you currently do. Clear, simple language is best. You can include specialist or technical terms.
You’ll be able to add details about your research, publications, career and academic history to other sections of your staff profile.
