“I spend a day a week shadowing there and have been to tribunals and even progressed to having my own client meeting for a PIP application. Everyone there is also really accommodating, friendly and willing to teach. It has definitely been smooth running.”

Intern's Testimonial
"This experience is also providing insight into working within a team of advisors, lawyers, and volunteers. In collaborative exercises, I have seen how important teamwork is to resolving cases and how each advisor’s experience contributes to finding the best solutions. The trainers have been incredibly supportive, offering feedback and guidance every step of the way, making me feel well-prepared for what’s to come.
This training has given me both a realistic and rewarding perspective on the field of legal advice and community support, and I would highly encourage others interested in social justice to consider getting involved with Citizens Advice. I’m looking forward to putting these skills into action and making a meaningful impact by helping individuals navigate complex issues. My time at CAB so far has been eye-opening, and I am excited to continue this journey, knowing I’ll be contributing to a service that makes a real difference in people’s lives. "
