Research project

Understanding LGBTQ+ political behaviour

Project overview

Relying on a diverse catalogue of methodological approaches, this longitudinal cross-national research project seeks shed new light on LGBTQ+ political behaviour. It uses large-N observational survey data as well as original experimental (vignette and conjoint) research designs to explore not only how LGBTQ+ individuals deviate from their cis-heterosexual peers at the polls but what explains this divergence.

The project has produced several peer-reviewed research articles in some of the top journals within the social sciences. At present, the project is working towards the production of a comprehensive book manuscript.
